Black Cartridge

Empty cartridges left for more than 3 days do not always give a successful re-fill.

Change your cartridge after 5 re-fills, as print heads wear with use

Press the cartridge firmly into the clip until it clicks

Fill your syringe with ink and remove the needle

Push your syringe, without the needle, into the ink-filling hole as far as it can go.

Slowly fill the cartridge with ink

Repeat this procedure until you have filled the cartridge with a minimum of 25ml and a maximum of 40ml of ink

After filling the cartridge, withdraw approximately 1ml of ink, which should remove any air in the cartridge.

Take the cartridge out of the clip and clean the cartridge with tissue paper.

Put the cartridge with the print head on an old plate so it can catch any excess ink.

Colour Cartridge

The filling holes are located on top of the cartridge and are sealed with small-vented plugs

If unable to push in the plugs , then unscrew then with the eye screw provided.

Assemble the needle and syringe, place the needle into the ink inlet hole and push until slight resistance is felt.

Remove the needle from the cartridge, this will allow you to see a small amount of colour on the needle.

If the colours are different from those on the instructions supplied, then fill the chambers as per the appropriate colour sequence in your cartridge

Assemble the needle and syringe and fill with appropriate colour ink.

Insert needle into the centre of the cartridge

The cartridge contains a sponge so a slight resistance will be felt

SLOWLY inject the ink

Blot the print heads with tissue to remove any excess ink before continuing next colour

Important – Do not reseal the filling holes

Install the cartridge into the printer and run a priming /cleaning cycle, pre printer instructions
