Chip Resetter for 7 & 9 Pin Chipped Epson Cartridges .

Resets all OEM Chips,but it cannot be guaranteed on Compatible Chips .

Once the ink level has dropped below 15% the cartridge cannot be reset ,to be safe don’t let the ink level drop below about 25% .

The resetter can automatically identify the type of ink cartridge, and then reset the chip on the cartridge into a full mode. It can be compatible with most of the Epson intelligent ink cartridges in the market .

It can be used for 7 pin chips and the 9 pin chips .

The 2 side pins on the 9 pin cartridge are used as sensors & the central 7 pins on the cartridge are used for the 7 pins on the resetter  to reset the chip .

 Resetting Procedure

Align the cartridge to the correct notch on the reset unit so that the 7 central chip contacts on the cartridge and the pins on the chip resetter meet, remembering the 2 side pins on the chip are only sensors .

Keep the two units in firm contact. If the red light is blanking, it shows the two units contact well .

If the red light turns to green, it shows the reset operation is successful.

Cartridge is now ready for refilling with ink .

TROUBLESHOOTING

The red light stays on and doesn’t turn green .
The pins on the chip resetter are not in good contact with the chip on the cartridge. The contact may be dirty or oily .
If the ink cartridge is not an original Epson brand ink cartridge, the chip may not be compatible with the chip resetter .
If the ink cartridge is an original Epson brand ink cartridge, the chip may be burned out or Epson may have changed the chip design . But the chip resetter can still work with this kind of ink cartridge to fulfill the level, only the green light won’t shine, the red LED does.
