Peel of the top label where you will find a vent hole about halfway.

Place the orange cap on the outlet hole - If you no longer have it use tape or something that will prevent ink from seaping out whilst refilling.

Very slowly inject ink into the vent hole until the cartridge is full.

Then very slowly draw back out about 1/2ml to remove any air bubbles in the sponge.

After a minute or two remove the orange cap/tape.

Place the cartridge back into the printer & run 1 - 3 cleaning cycles as per printer instructions.

Chip/Electronic Counter

There is an electronic counter embedded in a small computer chip board.

The counter starts at a high number & decreases for every character printed.

Eventually the counter reaches zero.

At this point an error message is generated by the printer.

If you click "ok" to the error message,the printer will continue to print. However the ink level display will not show correctly.

On some cartridges you can simply click through the error message & various warnings.

On others you will need to hold the resume or reset button for 10 - 15 seconds.
